That will of course be true for some students, but I have plenty of students who aren't cheating and who are staying home (I know they know their stuff because they participate in class, ask good questions, seek clarification, come to office hours and demonstrate their knowledge). I also have plenty of students who are cheating and who are planning on coming back to school. I suspect that the parents are making them come back because the cheating isn't working out too well and they expect the in-person special sauce to fix everything.[/quote]
