Because who is supposed to take care of their kids while schools are closed and they are at work?  They'd have to pay someone at least that much to watch them.  And $13-18 per hour isn't worth the health risk of working in a hospital right now if unemployment will pay $600 per week.  It's not that people are lazy--some don't have a lot of options due to life circumstances.  If hospitals are so desperate, pay people a livable wage.[/quote]
