If you lie about a material fact in a restraining order case (that is, one likely to influence a judge), you're vulnerable to prosecution by the county/district attorney for felony perjury. You may also be prosecuted in civil court (sued) by the person you lie about (for defamation, false light, fraud, etc.).[/quote]
