Well, the maps are drawn by the legislature (which Reps hold both house and senate) and then Tony Evers, who is the Democratic governor, has the power to either veto or approve the new maps after the 2020 census is done. So there is a good likelihood that we get fair maps — thank goodness Wisconsin made the right choice for gov in 2018![/quote]

There is actually a possibility that the Republicans get a veto-proof majority in the state senate — currently the makeup is 19-14 and there are two open seats up in 2020 that were just narrowly won by Dems in ‘16 that republicans are just clamoring for the pickup. Also a seat up for election that was won by a Dem during a special election in 2018 that will be tough. However, the assembly should be fine. Fingers crossed! Politics-wise, living in Wisconsin does my blood pressure no favors lol[/quote]
