People really need to get over this whole “We should be crushing everyone” narrative. 
Women’s soccer has gotten much, much better in Europe, and there’s much more parity now. 
The last five times we’ve played England, there have been four one goal games and one tie. They won one of those games. 
England is ranked higher than France.

Yeah I don't get why it is surprising to people that countries like France, England, and Germany would have strong women's national teams that are competitive with the U.S..  Some people seem to have this impression that women's soccer is only actively played and supported in the U.S..  And while the U.S. Women have brought home many Olympic and World Cup championships - when it comes to the final rounds there is really no history of crushing every team.[/quote]
