But I assume if you fought for this cause, you had a freedom to choose what to do with your body after you managed to get pregnant, you exercised that right: would you be very proud of yourself and tell everyone that you are a strong independent woman who does whatever she want with her body? Another thing your assumptions miss: that no matter how grateful someone is to have control over their own body, and no matter how sure they are they’re making the right choice, it’s still a hard, unpleasant and emotional one.
