As with Adam and Eve, Lucifer was not content to be as he was created. He wanted to be God. He rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. Lucifer is jealous that God loves humans and tries to destroy us. But Jesus has already claimed victory and Satan will be soon driven from his place and punished. Satan’s “victory” is temporary.
