The Post printed an insulting rationalization of Kaya's unethical behavior. I'm sure it was suggested by the very Kaya friendly editors https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/education/behind-the-dc-school-lottery-scandal-a-crisis-in-confidence/2017/05/28/d8c3f010-409d-11e7-9869-bac8b446820a_story.html
This shows that Kaya is even dumber than I thought. Of the seven names disclosed so far, only Fenty was an "elected official." The rest were just staff -- hired hands like Kaya getting a government paycheck. Not to mention that of course any D.C. elected official is going to have to send his or her kids to DCPS. Council members in Wards 2 or 3 could send their kids to private without too much blowback, in the past, but that's probably changing also. So much for Kaya's "confidence" point. And as if any parent is going to smack her forehead and exclaim, "Well, if DCPS is good enough for the kid of the Deputy Mayor for Crony Favors, then by George, it's good enough for my child!"
