ICE pulls US Citizen from her cat fur videoing them. Local police chief intervened. These trump goons will murder again. St. Peter police chief blocks federal agents from arresting resident | MPR News https://share.google/kzXLb7Eyfi2mZL605
They piled out of their car and pointed their pistols at her. For following them. They probably were hoping she'd move her car an inch so they could shoot her
The video is ridiculous. They raise their guns literally within 1 second of jumping out. So many trigger happy goons roaming this country. No training. No policy. No procedures. Told by their bosses to disregard the law.
This is unacceptable. I’ve lived all around the world and I have never seen such trigger happy police. There should be strict standards governing when ICE is allowed to take out guns and point them at civilians.
Here’s the video. [twitter]https://x.com/atrupar/status/2017659865733140587?s=46[/twitter]
This is stupid. While you can video police in public places- you have to stay a safe distance away and not interfere. Following them is a gray area and risky. If someone was following you for an extended time, you’d probably call the police, right? It’s threatening and suspicious behavior to be following someone in your car, especially law enforcement/federal agents, and can be considered interference or intimidation. They can absolutely pull you over and get you out and question/detain you for that. Don’t believe it- Go try and follow any other law enforcement officer around while they are on duty and see what happens.
ICE knows that people who are following them are simply observing them, and people in Minnesota have gone through training to maintain sfae distance, folow traffic laws. This woman's husband is a lawyer (also happened to be friends with the police chief). When NORMAL police pull you over, they activate their lights and siren. They don't block you off with multiple vehicles unless they are pursuing a suspect for something other than a traffic violation. They don't jump out with multiple guns pointed. They initiate contact politely. If I recall the article I read correctly, they already knew her name (they have been accessing motor vehicle and license records, my understanding is that is being done unlawfully when it comes to profiling citizens), so they knew she had no criminal record. ICE has actively rammed people's vehicles and in at least two Chicago cases where they tried to pursue federal charges, they had to drop cases where they accused people of weaponizing vehicles--because it turned out ICE rammed citizens' vehicles, not the other way around. Even smaller towns, when they are holding ICE training, are seeing increasing numbers of people attending. The training also includes telling people to NOT interfere with actual ICE arrests due to the potential for danger to the person being arrested as well as anyone else. But you just go ahead and keep trying to convince yourself that this is a competent administration that upholds the law.
Isn’t that what the protesters are doing in signal chats? Accessing motor vehicle and license records? Then they demand to see ID like press passes? They are freaking ordinary people - no one has legally assigned them to do this. One of them will be badly hurt by a civilian as these protesters are getting more and more aggressive.
Point us to a source that shows people who are not law-enforcement having access to license plate and drivers license records. And what is this about press passes? and please show a source about protesters getting more and more aggressive. It seems to me that protesters are changing their tactics seeing as BP executed a us citizen they were mad at just a week ago
