I’ve been feeling bad for Jen over the hair hate. A bunch of us got roped into getting highlights back in the day cause it supposedly brightened our faces and everyone was doing it. Hairstylists make more on our visits etc. Well years of dye jobs and bleaching high lights leaves hair like straw. Then once the roots are mostly gray it becomes a part time job to keep them from showing. Some of my friends say they are touching up at home every 2 weeks. Some have like Jen have gone lighter and lighter until they are full blonde because they think it helps hide those gray roots to not be as obvious as they grow out. But as we’ve seen with Jen those roots stand out against the blonde as well. Her hairstyle is up to date, it’s the coloring that isn’t working for her. She needs a new stylist who gives her regular deep conditioning and gets her to a more natural flattering tone and an at least monthly touch up schedule. It’s a total pain and expensive but Jen’s reached that age where she’s gotta either go gray (which almost no one does) or be seen at the salon often. Tina’s hair matches her coloring a bit better though still clearly fake, and has a touch of silky shine to it. Her overall style is very youthful but she manages to pull them off better cause she looks years younger than her chronological age.
