Sometimes it helps to read all the way to the end of an article,

This vaccine won't be available for 18 month to 2 years at a bare minimum.  The usual timeline is 5+ years.  The FDA is not going to skirt the safety issues and they will monitor those getting the vaccine now for a full year.  [/quote]

Yeah right.  If a vaccine looks safe and effective, I promise you that Trump is going to find a way to push it through even if it’s dangerous.  I’m sure the FDA will push back but he is President and will win.  He thought his election hinges on the stock market but at this point it’s pretty much the Coronavirus response.  If he hears of a vaccine that looks good, do you really think there won’t be some executive order clearing all the hurdles?[/quote]
