I think we can all agree that both sides are suffering pretty big losses. There are no major gains on either side. The conflict will probably go on at the intensity it has now, for another few years. I guess Ukrainians don’t want peace talks to avoid recognizing the status quo in any shape or form. They are hoping for a breakthrough that will change it. I think the only two opportunities for a breakthrough are: death of Putin and/or Russia slowly bleeding out economically. It will take a few years for either. [/quote]
