Do you think Bullis goes out looking for players OR do the players want to come to Bullis. Bullis offers great facilities (athletic and academic) an experienced coaching staff, and has been on a very successful run in lacrosse over the past few years. You can't deny that players have flocked to the program recently. If you are an excellent lacrosse player and you are unhappy at your current school where else would you go? Landon? nope, too much talent on bench and would be very difficult to get playing time Prep? nope, Mater Dei pipeline and another deep bench SSSA? nope, new coach has turned many players and families to look elsewhere St Alban's? nope, recent coaching changes has led to less continuity and has hurt talent Gonzaga? nope, they have over 100 players in program DeMatha? Yes, Program is moving in right direction St John's? Yes, New coach=New energy O'Connell? Yes Kevin Giblin hopes to compete in top 3 in WCAC soon Once the word gets out that transfers are welcome at a school, then more players will inquire and apply. Bullis also built a new academic building thus Bullis has room to accept more applicants due to an increase in enrollment. I don't think any other school in the area has the ability to accept over a hundred new students due to their restrictions in enrollment. Negative comments have been made about Bullis but their lacrosse program has been on the upswing and their players have gone to some of the best colleges in the country. I prefer that schools have players for their entire high school experience at one school, but families move their kids for a whole host of reasons. Bullis may not be for everyone but it has worked out very well for many players and families.
