Biden took himself off the ticket. Sure, lots of people were calling for it, but he had to find enough humility to bow out and unite the party by endorsing Harris. With Trump that's a lost cause.[/quote]

The hypocrisy of people who clutched their pearls over Biden’s debate performance but could not care less about Trump doing things far more alarming on the daily is just mind-boggling. I think Biden is a great man and was a great president. History will be kind to him. But I saw that performance and knew it was time for him to go. Why can’t republicans hold their presidential candidates to even the lowest of employment standards. Imagine Trump walking into a McDonalds and asking for a job. No way on Earth would they hire an 80 year old convicted felon. His lack of social skills wouldn’t even get him past the interview phase. [/quote]

Eh, I’m not sure Trump would have beaten Bernie Sanders in 2020.  But to be fair, I don’t think anyone expected Biden to go downhill as fast as he did.[/quote]
