See I disagree. That's her voice. She's had it since the minute she came on screen. Yes it's got a strange accent and pitch but she has always sounded like that. Probably endearing to some and annoying to others. Maybe her dad doesn't mind? Frankly I would be pissed if my dad sat me down to talk to me about my voice. Like you can easily change that.
Actually, my own dad did point it out when I lapsed into using "like" in high school, and I'm really grateful to him for doing this, and for insisting that I speak like an intelligent adult. He would also playfully repeat my sentences back to me if I ended them on an up-tone/question, and again, while this was infuriating at the time, I'm grateful to him for making me aware of how ridiculous it is to speak like a little girl. These are two things that ARE easy to fix, and it says a lot about this girl-woman's family that she is now 35 years old and speaks with the stupid little-girl affectations. These are absolutely something she can fix, and I'm shocked no one has pointed them out to her: did you hear Landon when she went into her business meeting with Lockhart? She sounded like a moron, and a good friend or her dad (I'm mentioning him because he was shown giving her life/business advice on the show) could have mentioned to her that speech and tone are very important in a business meeting, and that confident speech and a straight gaze (as opposed to "like...like...like" and simpering squints off into space) go a long way in ensuring that one is communicating an image of competence. Clearly nobody ever practiced interview skills with Landon (or talking-like-a-big-girl skills). It is NOT just "her voice", and the fact that she's so old and still speaks this way indicates that her friends/family infantilize her somewhat, I think. Plus, she seems to have the self-awareness of a gnat. I've really learned the meaning of "hate-watch" from this show/Landon, though.
Yeah you are super invested in her voice. Your dad should talk to you about your long windedness on boring subjects.
