This ones not creepy but weird. I grew up in India and a custom in Hindu households is to light a lamp for the Gods/deities everyday, morning and evening. On certain weekdays ( Thu , Fri at my house) my mom would also keep an offering of fruit normally bananas. Almost all houses have a Puja or worship room, & since ours was in the process of being built, my mom used a cupboard in an extra room as her temporary worship room. So a strange thing continued to happen every Thursday, Friday. She would light the lamp as usual, keep a bunch of big bananas ( usually 4-5 , always in a connected bunch) and leave the room. Within a minute the bananas would be gone.. Just gone. At first she thought it was us kids, but it continued to happen even when we weren't around. She would look under the cot and everywhere else, but nothing. No sign of them. The windows were always shut tight. she'd even lock the door behind her but it continued to happen every week, like clockwork, the minute she walked out of the room. It was a source of great mystery for all of us kids, since it was happening right before our eyes. We didn't have pets, there was no possibility of a rodent coming in and this was a big bunch of bananas! So what the heck was happening? My brave and crazy uncle( who we greatly admired, btw) who was a bachelor at that time and living with us, decided to investigate. He slept under the cot as my mother lit the lamp, placed the bananas and walked out. He waited for almost 30 mins and nothing happened. They didn't move from there. He came out of the room and went back to check, multiple times. They continued to stay there. And guess what , that was the last time the bananas disappeared. Baffling to me, to this day!
