You're not exactly convincing me.  Are you aware that "as you type" consists of words which have a literal meaning?  Was there a sudden influx of IB kids at the time that qyou posted this?  No one ever said that Brent was the only "decent" option.  I would also recommend digging much deeper into the CAS results by subgroup and class before drawing too many sweeping conclusions. Many, many phrases have literal meanings. In fact basically everything that isn't an idiomatic phrase does. That's why there's a concept in many languages called "figurative meaning". If your brain can only process literal meaning then that's ok; everyone can't be of average or better intelligence. But for some people literal gives way to figurative meaning.
