OP here.  I don't think she's advanced or gifted.

I'll let her choose books.  But so far she has been progressing to higher levels of BOB books until she could fluently read them all.

She does not show a lot of curiosity though.  She will read if you ask her and she enjoys it, but she prefers to play which we also do a lot.[/quote]

How often do you take her to library and let her pick out whatever's interesting, regardless of reading level?[/quote]
