The kids who led this song are despicable and deserve to be expelled but it is not a good thing to expel people selectively -- so I'm not sure they should have been expelled - not because they're innocent but because it's not good for the community overall.  And it's clear that activists of various kinds could be accused of hate speech, for example, critics of Israel are sometimes accused of hate speech against Jews -- even though they are criticizing Israel and not Jewish people generally.[/quote]

The article I posted showed how the comments about Israel did indeed translate to Jews. So there have been problems like that and those students were not expelled. You are correct in what you say above.[/quote]
