To the other Muslim poster: you, too have promised to provide responses. You have not done so. You insist that you are not Muslima (although the two of you have very similar rhetorical styles and very similar tastes in Imams). Therefore, I hope you will compensate for Muslima's lack of seriousness, you will drop your own hateful jibes about divorce, and you will actually follow through on your promise to provide thoughtful responses.

To anybody reading this: the advice to talk to Muslim imams is ridiculous. You will get the same sanitized, carefully editted version of Islam that Muslima and her alter ego have been giving us for the past 18 pages. Muslima and her alter ego are engaged in dawwah, the Muslim obligation to convert strangers. They understand that nobody gets converted with a straight-up explanation of Islam's rules about women's rights and such.

Do your own research. 
-- Read the Quran: you're eyes will be opened wide. You will read the actual passages that Muslima and her alter ego claim don't exist.
-- Search out non-Muslim explanations for things like the treatment of women, prisoners of war and people who leave Islam.[/quote]
