My list is so long. Much of it has been covered already by PPs and basically all of it is crap processed food. I think it would be easier to make a list of processed foods I do still eat LOL. But a few of mine I no longer eat: - non-natural peanut butter (hate sugar in peanut butter now and hate the overly smooth texture of Jif and the like) - Nutri Grain bars (ate these every day in high school and I shudder now thinking about it) and really any type of granola bar - breakfast cereal, with very occasional exception of raisin bran or bran flakes with fresh fruit (used to love Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams, Life, and Special K) - Handi-Snacks (anybody remember those? four crackers and some "cheese" spread?) - Hostess and Little Debbie snack cakes - used to love them, now am revolted by them - skim milk (I mostly don't drink milk at all, cook with whole) - processed cheese food -- used to love both Kraft singles and Velveeta - lean pockets - lived on these in law school - soda (quit regular at 14, quit diet two years ago) - juice - basically any type of sweetened beverage. I drink water, unsweetened iced tea, and wine, nothing else on a regular basis. drank Koolaid as a child and Crystal Light. Ugh. - canned soups of any kind -- I make my own now because of the sodium (family history of high blood pressure) - white pasta, bread, or rice (except when eating at a restaurant) - canned fruit, with rare exceptions when peaches are out of season and I want to eat some with cottage cheese - canned vegetables (use a lot of frozen now, though I do use canned beans and diced/crushed tomatoes as ingredients) - packaged cookies, with an occasional exception for Oreos and Samoas (girl scout) I could go on forever, there are so many things I ate as a kid that I would never buy or eat now. I was recently at my parents' house and their pantry was so amusing and also sad. Tons of canned fruits and veggies and "cream of" soups, jams and jellies, breakfast cereals, practically everything they eat is processed and if my mom cooks I guarantee you it has either a cream of soup in it or Cool Whip and Jello something. Of course they are both on a ton of meds for diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. and don't exercise. Some people never learn.
