[/quote] But that is cheap and easy to do when you are already in Europe, you can take trains, very cheap flights, etc, My kid - rising Ivy junior- will be in Europe all summer May-July. University had him apply for some diplomatic thing -kids from around the US- about 30 selected. The university is covering his flights/food/housing. He is staying 2 weeks afree it ends in Augus to visit “his friends” in Italy and Switzerland (no idea if they live there or vacation there)- but his friends are from all over. Some from his club sports team or classes or freshmen dorm, etc. A lot of this just has to do with how global Ivies and top schools are…[/quote]
