My kid is in at Cornell and a couple of non-Ivy top 25. They will decline Cornell because of the two non-Ivy being better fits. Cornell seems academically intense to them, and they want to have a bit more relaxed college environment.
My son turned down Cornell for Penn State last year and is SO happy. Graduating in three years with two degrees as well thanks to his 14 APs transferring (he had 5s on all of the tests).
Glad he is happy with his choice but just to clarify.... Cornell also accepts APs for credit and/or to skip pre reqs in many subjects. My kid graduated Cornell in a STEM major in 3 years by using APs.
Engineering or A&S?
Biological Sciences in A&S starting med school in the fall.
