Yesterday, after MarkWayne was announced, Senator Welch, a DEMOCRAT from VERMONT called Mullin "competent and honest." While most members were cowering and hyperventilating in the balcony on January 6, then-Congressman Mullin was actively supporting Capitol Police barricade the door to protect ALL his fellow colleagues. It's like you see his name, you see his political affiliation, and you start foaming at the mouth. It's gross.[/quote]

I have no doubt that you and I would disagree on what constitutes "good policy" that best serves the American people from birth to death.  I am merely stating that one of the most progressive members of the Senate called him competent and honest. Not an idiot, not a bad person, a person who put himself in harm's way to protect his colleagues when it mattered most. You want to appoint the DHS secretary? Win an election.[/quote]
