The legal advice we received was for them to have the following : 1. Certificate of citizenship (this was expensive and took a while to receive, but worth it) note - you can’t carry this around, or get it replaced, so lock it up. 2. Passport book 3. Passport card - carry at all times. I retained their original visas and entry paperwork. When my oldest joined military, they wanted to see all entry paperwork and documents. [/quote]
