I know you mean well but this is a very good example of privilege. My children are biracial so no I will not have them around family members who lie and say Jan 6 was BLM and antifa or that the proud boys and unite the right rally are good things. You dont love me or my partner or children if you support politicians/polices/lies that threaten their safety and deny them basic humanity. This is not an intellectual exercise for many people. These are our lives.[/quote]

DP. My children are also biracial and the URM side of the family is MAGA (or at least Trump voters), largely due to religious beliefs.

Never had anything said or done that threatens their safety or denied their basic humanity.

Ma'am, that's your perception and opinion; it's not "reality."  I know plenty of minority Trump voters- in fact it was a black man to urged me to consider Trump when I planned to vote for Hillary. You can't just dismiss people with different views and experiences as irrational. [/quote]
