(I've embarrassed my husband with my inability to read the room) But I try to be kind and thoughtful as well as maintaining connections with people. And I feel as if I have a few good friends and a large number of social connections with whom I connect occasionally and could be better friends if I were to put in the effort. Literally if you try, you will make friends. Somebody else wrote "invite, invite, invite!" and that is true. You need to reach out to people.
