Most of the families that play in AS are there for the beach. Many have beach houses or rent in Dewey or Rehoboth to enjoy a mini vacation. The tournament is just part of the package.[/quote]

Same probable that you saw in club season.  Playing equal playing time against a team who isn't.  DC/VA just isn't talented enough to overcome that.  Of the teams we played,  Jersey (who won the tourney) was the only team who did equal PT against us.   To be fair, we should have beaten Colorado on the last day, but their goalie played outstanding. AS 27 Cap Blue players got all the Orange players they thought would make them better - comprising two thirds of the team between the two so equal PT should not have factored - and still went 0-4. [/quote]
