I'm Jewish (not OP) and I would have thought you were trying to include some Jewish cookies in with the mix. I never in a million years would have thought anything of the yellow. I would have thought you either didn't have any blue or you didn't know "Hanukkah colors." However, if you tol me your explanation of the star being prettier and different ad not knowing about the Star of David, I would have thought you were a moron.
