If El Salvador does not want to release their citizen, be mad at El Salvador. The USA has zero jurisdiction at this point.
The Us has hired El salvador to imprison these people. They have every power to pull someone back. I guess you are saying Trump is too weak to do it.
The Us is not paying for his imprisonment. The US has a contract with ES for members of the Venezuelan Tren de Arugua gang - not El Salvador citizens deemed MS13.
But all of that totally misses the point!! So what if he’s a MS13 member? Was just listening this morning to NPR and they were crystal about the real issue which is he didnt get due diligence.
Not sure how you aren’t following. PP had said we have jurisdiction in ES on this issue because of payments, but then it was pointed out that the contract is for a totally different group of people (Venezuelans) so actually no, we don’t. Stop listening to biased NPR. This man was seen by multiple courts and had plenty of due diligence. The issue is simply an error in destination, not that he had authorization to stay in the US.
