Green energy is now on price parity with fossil fuels. Even if it wasn't, the world has more than enough money to make up the difference with essentially zero change to anyone's standard of living, unless you count a billionaire maybe having to switch from endangered teakwood to regular teakwood on the deck of their megayacht.  There is literally zero reason to destroy the "beautiful and pristine" parts of the world to drill except so that the ultra-rich can make a slightly quicker and cheaper buck. So yeah, I have absolutely zero problem calling them "monsters" and am exactly 0% hypocritical for doing so because there is literally zero reason for them to be doing this except to add another zero to the bank balance that they could never even spend in their lifetime if they tried.
