So they go to jail or get fined?[/quote] They'll get county fines, assuming they can prove the dog was loose and the attack was unwarranted (i.e. the other dog was leashed, minding its own business on public property under the proper control of its owner). Jail is highly unlikely unless there's some kind of contributing factor (previous citations, which might've led to restrictions on the dog and limits on where it could be and how). Civil case for the medical and psychological damages, maybe. Again, the injured parties will have to show they were simply minding their own business (I mentioned this upthread and someone blew an ass gasket about it, but there was a reason). [/quote]
