I taught my DC multiplication in first grade by having them 'count-by' on the way to school and quizzing random numbers ("say every fourth one aloud" or "up by fours, back down by threes and whisper the ones in both". It was a hoot, cramming math facts while being funny and silly and having a great time. Who said drill and kill can't be creative? Anything can be creative.[/quote]
