Engaging with the system is at minimum a part-time job and easily a full-time one if you want it to be. Laura Stewart certainly turned it into one.

Most normal, middle-class parents can't afford to give away that much of their time for free and sustain a living.

The people you call middle class are not real middle class and wealthy.  Let’s be real.  You are not middle class.  Most schools don’t want parents involved.  Most ptas are very clique and do the absolute minimum.  They make it near impossible to volunteer or do much.  [/quote]
