It’s not crooked tryouts, you showed your crazy to the club too early and they decided they don’t want to deal with you. If they didn’t know you as a crazy and your DD was fast, they would absolutely take her. This is a you problem more than an RMSC problem.
Rockville residents are crazy, crazy to pay for a pool we don't even get to use.
You get to use the pool, you just don’t get an automatic placement on RMSC Rockville’s team.
I'm not touching that pool this year. I've already had to have antibiotics for infections from it.
Is there one or two pools that the OP is talking about? I'm confused. I thought that RMSC was at the Rockville pool and that was the pool that the OP was talking about not being able to get access to for swim team but it seems like OP doesn't find it satisfactory for recreational purposes.
There are four pools at RSFC. There are two indoor pools, neither of which is very big a 25 yard pool with six lanes and a 25 meter pool. During the winter, usually only 25 meter is available for the public to use, and only during limited hours. This one is gross as all the kids and kid swim lesson are in it especially during cold flu season. It is shallow no diving etc. Very crowded. The other pool is used almost exclusively for RMSC during the winter, it is nicer and can accommodate some diving. Rays use(d) it in the summer. Next year there will be another outdoor pool which will resemble the standard shallow lap pools all the swim league teams use. The rays will use this one. Neither of these are like that big KSAC long course pool. The outdoor lap pool is heated up to November but doesn't open until May. It is also used quite heavily by RMSC. So yeah, there is a pool that is basically unavailable and one that is somewhat available but crowded.
The bold above is not true. The Rays will *not* use the renovated outdoor "fun" pool next year.
