Retiring at 45 with $1.5 million? At that age you better be conservative with your withdrawal rate so maybe you'll generate $45k/year from investments. I would not want to live on that. "Some luxury" is part of what makes life beautiful. I wouldn't want the "freedom" of being retired without broader financial freedom than what you'll have if you quit so young. [/quote]
