The fact of the matter is that he raped once again when transferred. Sorry but LCPS dropped the ball big time and then tried to cover it up. Why are you wasting time defending incompetent, unsafe management unless you are their lawyer, PR firm or the accused? More people should be fired including the TA who walked into the bathroom.
He did not rape again. The second assault was groping. Not a rape.
Like that’s so much better.
Look at the words I wrote. I didn’t say one was better. But there is a huge difference between being raped and being groped and it does matter that you use the correct words instead of saying “the facts are he raped again” when he factually did not.
DP here - Your disgusting! You would absolutely be the person who would tell the girl to her face to just get over it and it’s no big deal.
No, I wouldn’t. This emotional response from you is insane: one girl was raped, one was groped. You can’t say he raped the second girl, and call that factual: he didn’t. I’m not bringing any approval or emotions into this. Just the actual words and actions.
Unwanted sexual touching - forcing her into a room against her will is still horrible and deeply scarring for a child, especially one who is sexually assaulted inside of a SCHOOL. No matter how you try to minimize it, it’s still SEXUAL ASSAULT.
Nobody is saying otherwise. But a poster said “he went on to rape again, these are the facts.” And that’s not true. If they had said “he assaulted again” that would be true. Groping isn’t rape. He did not go on to rape again. This case is convoluted enough- people really need to be factual and accurate in how they discuss it.
NP. I agree with you. Groping is disgusting and unacceptable; but it's not the same as being pinned down and forced penetration. The tendency today to equate everything (not just various levels of sexual assault) is a big problem and diminishes the experiences and impacts of the most truly traumatizing experiences people have. This kid absolutely went on to sexually assault yet again. But if it were my daughter, I'd be grateful it was "only groping" and not even worse. Why should people expect any real consequences for this kid? This country elected a mysoginistic rapist/gropist to be president, for cryin' out loud. What lesson does teach?
