The women killed themselves along with their adopted children about 5 years ago. It now appears they were in the long term process of fleeing investigators from child protective services in at least 2 states, after repeated reports of child abuse and extreme discipline, including withholding food as punishment. This case is so unusual it is still being explored.[/quote]
