Would it be possible to have headings at the top of each post like the old design? If I'm interrupted or have been away from the computer, I don't always remember the subject of the post when I return. It's a bit tedious to have to keep scrolling to the top of the page to remember. I also think it looked better than the blank space that's there now. Thanks!
The subject is there in the desktop design. For phones, it is similar to my issue above about the date of the last post. Users have expressed a desire to see as much of a message's text as possible. On a phone, adding the subject line to each message would add at least one line to each post, allowing fewer posts to be see at once. Personally, I agree with you and would sacrifice text for the subject, but I think we are in the minority. For iPads, I may experiment with adding the subject line back in.
PP above. Glad I'm not alone, though I can see where the other users are coming from. I use a MacBook, and the subject is not there. If you have time, please consider them too, if you do go ahead and experiment with the Ipads.
I use a MacBook Pro and I didn't realize that there was much difference with a MacBook. Would you mind telling me exactly what model you have? From the "Apple Menu" choose "About this Mac". At the top is should say "MacBook" and then below it in some lighter letters a year or something that is more specific.
PP here. I have a MacBook Air. It says 'M1 2020' and the MacOS is 'Ventura 13.0'. Is that what you meant?
This is confusing to me. That Mac should have a viewport of 1280 pixels wide. That is basically the screen resolution of your computer. The subject line is supposed to display at a minimum width of 1200 pixels, which is obviously below 1280. If you are not seeing it, I would guess that you are not using your Mac at its native resolution and, instead, have made everything display larger or — more likely — have zoomed in your browser. Can you make sure your browser is set to display at actual size or 100%? Or simply zoom it out 1 step. Then see if the subject line shows up.
