F Harvard. They’re cancelled for my half Indian family.
+1000 coming from an immigrant family this was one of the few top schools I had heard growing up. But I’m so nauseated by their discrimination and wish more Asian families knew this.
It’s amazing to me that families that clearly value education don’t do their research on college and go for the same few brand name schools instead of seeing the educational value of so many others. It always feels like prestige chasing but maybe it’s really ignorance.
Seems like you are amazingly stupid. PP never indicated anything about what you said. Everyone does research and apply multiple schools - reaches, matches , safeties. That's how the game works in this country. White people do the exactly same thing. They are the ones using the most backdoors (ALDC) and even illegal bribing(i.e. Varsity Blues scandal) for prestige name brand.
I’m the person you quote and I’m white. I have one high stats kid and one not so high. For both of them, we did research and applied to many schools, all of which they would have attended. Both of my kids did not attend the “highest ranked” or most recognizable “name brand” school. My kids did their homework and picked the school that they felt was right. No ALDC. No Varsity Blues behavior needed because we were not hung up on prestige schools. My kids both chose great schools for them. No prestige chasing. I have faith that my kids can excel wherever they are. We taught grit and emotional intelligence. Why do you not have faith in your kid? Why do you need a bumper sticker to feel proud of your kid and confident about their chances?
