It's interesting to me that so many people are pulling the race card and coming down on the cops. So then, what happens with the groups congregating and stealing from the mall departments stores? The reason this escalated is because the situation has been ignored because no one wants to be called racist because it's predominately African Americans from DC. Security officers and the police have been narrowly averting large scale looting like we've seen in recent videos of CVS stores, luxury department stores, etc. because of their presence. Do we just keep ignoring this theft while disempowering the police to do anything about it? Ridiculous. I support the police.[/quote]

Nobody is ignoring theft or “disempowering” the police. It is and has always been illegal to steal. In fact this man was being chased by cops who were working that beat right at that very moment. [/quote]
