Everyone in academia right up to associate professors is under enormous pressure to constantly publish. Something ground breaking, or even something mildly influential in their subspecialty would be nice, but even if that's not possible they still need to publish something regularly. Blame university hiring panels and tenure panels not CRT for that one. [/quote]
