80% chance the divorce was the XWs idea, so she's the one who "abandoned the family" not him. And very often in such cases, the XW denies the man access to his kids and then lies to the kids that he doesn't care about them and doesn't want to see them anymore.  He really can't be blamed for finding another wife of whatever age at that point.[/quote]
