https://www.etonline.com/brad-pitt-and-angelina-jolies-2016-jet-incident-all-the-revelations-from-the-fbi-report-189286
That's ... a lot tamer than what was initially implied. He yelled at her and at a later point, when she grabbed him, he jerked away and she was hurt. And he ranted/yelled a lot. And at the end of the flight, grabbed her and shook her when she told him she was taking the children. <-- This all seems to be from her POV, either he didn't contradict her or the FBI didn't talk to him or he said exactly the same thing that she did. I thought I remembered that he punched/hit/attempted to hit one of the children. That's not in this report.
It’s actually worse than I expected. He sounds like a certifiable lunatic!
He sounds like he was drinking. May not be a lunatic all the time.
Part-time lunacy is okay?
Yeah, that's what drinking does to some people. She also seems like a nut, so this type of situation is not a surprise. Too bad they have so many kids, sad they have to deal with all this.
I think I remember reading that she drank a lot of wine.
I can’t imagine she would have stayed with him so long if she didn’t also drink. She maybe gave it up though. And I think drinking becomes particularly problematic when you have teens, which notice and who are also just looking for a weakness to attack because teens try to provoke. Combined with the private plane which gave no one a chance to retreat to cool off, that’s a tinderbox. Especially with so many kids! (I also have a lot and I know that when stuff gots sideways, it can compound very quickly with multiple hormonal kids, especially if you are not at the top of your patience game.). I think it’s good they got divorced. They were obviously poorly suited and probably were kind of codependent in their disfunction. I do think it’s sad for everyone that his relationship with his kids was basically severed. Once he was sober and not a risk, she should have encouraged a reconciliation, for the kids’ same. That’s what most experts recommend unless the parent was seriously abusive towards the kids, which doesn’t seem the case here.
