Well I'm short (5'4) and thick around the middle (medical issue that makes me look pregnant; hope to resolve by next year), and have discovered that the long loose sleeveless dresses are not very flattering. They make me look a lot heavier than I am. I'm hoping adding a belt will help. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board. The short ruffly styles that seem to be popular at the moment are a little more flattering because they show my legs, but they make me feel very 'mutton dressed as lamb.' Now I"ll have to scour through this thread again to look for styles that may work for those of us who are not tall and thin. This was helpful nonetheless as it forced me to address my clothing shortage and order/try on a variety of options.
You feel short at 5’4”? I’m 5’4” also and never thought of myself as short.
Yes. I am 5'4 and chubby, and a lot of these dresses are cute, but too long for me. I'm apply shaped with great legs, so I try to wear things knee length or above. Some years I find great dresses, and some are really hit or miss.
