Seriously, well before classical times Asia Minor was basically colonized by Greeks. And my people are still really sore about this little old thing: [img]https://live.staticflickr.com/4091/4981799059_520659aa0c.jpg[/img]

Regarding food, I have noticed... remarkable similarities between Greek food and the cuisine of the Ottoman lands. Hmmm. Granted, there certainly are differences. But also... more than a couple of similarities.
