I love how the optimistic poster who believes in the future of DC is still admitting that it will take almost a decade until we can have a mayor that is responsible and not corrupt. (Which is such a low bar. We are not even imagining a great mayor. Just responsible and non-corrupt).[/quote]

Give us some credit, we are transforming a city that only 20-25 years ago actually reelected a mayor who was smoking crack on tv with a prostitute! We are in the process of discrediting and marginalizing those whose world's view lead to the erection of a statute of Marion Epilove Barry in front of the District's headquarters, only w/o the crack pipe. This is not easy work, but a huge amount has been accomplished. [/quote]
