Because he’s supposed to be a lawmaker who is a serious person crafting policy. 
They ( Gaetz and the rest of the Trumpuplicans) just have zero actual interest in governance. It’s just another bullet point in a long list of things that shouldn’t be his focus. It’s such a low bar and they can’t clear it.[/quote]

Uh yeah. That’s the problem. It’s the least creepy thing. He can’t just be professional, because  he’s not there to do work for the people. 
The standard is so low, and he can’t manage it. 
Lawmakers can do many things, but it doesn’t mean they should. 
He was never a serious guy, and now we know it is so much worse than just being an incompetent tool. [/quote]
