There is a practical approach you can help set up that will help your dad to cope with this all. Let it come to you in spirit. Something he will do each day to remind him that your mother is still all that was, just transitioning now. Like a book of mementos or slideshow of sorts to give him courage to face his grief with love.

You must be careful not to take on to much, pay heed to your own motivations and passions and as in giving any gift, be careful for entanglement with your other responsibilities, promises and passions.

For your son, the worst enemy here is fear and it is important to keep illusions of fear uncovered, so they may be present if they are to be felt and addressed, (what is underneath) without taking over. He will be okay, he has certain success and a great sense of accomplishment in his future.

Looking at you with your parents again, I see the acceptance. I see the three of you in the woods, you are watching from a small distance, your father is down on one knee looking up to your mum and she has long hair flowing behind her. Your desire to make a contribution in helping them is well, find your own memories to share before it is home again.
