So the public health measures of "stay at home" or "no large indoor gatherings" would not have any effect. Gathering in person isn't how HIV was spread. "Everyone wear condoms when engaging in sex" WAS an effective measure and it WAS a message we saw. People resisted it, just as people resist wearing masks. But it was pretty much the only public health measure that reduced the spread of HIV, along with lots and lots of testing.[/quote]
